Empowerment involves investing in people through health, education, livelihood and social protection. When people are empowered they are better prepared to take advantage of opportunities, they become agents of change and can more readily embrace their civic responsibilities. VAROD believes that remembering the persons with disables on this day would be an awareness towards enhancing their own capacities and supports them in setting their own priorities.

Meaningly, International Day of Persons with Disabilities on the 3rd of December 2021 was celebrated by VAROD with the aim of promoting empowerment and helping them to create real opportunities. Limited beneficiaries were invited with the COVID standard operation procedures where medical allowances, assistive devices and livelihood assistance too were provided at the stage
