Livelihood assistance to PWDs to enable their lives
Fifty one People with Disabilities (PWDs) were assisted with the livelihood support on the 12th & the 13th of October, 2011. The monitory assistance was provided with the support of German CARITAS.
On the first day, twenty three PWDs received the assistance for the first time while 4 others received their follow ups. On the second day 28 PWDs received the assistance. The PWDs are from the district of Mullaittivu. The Assistance is given after an analysis of their abilities, experience and possibilities of income through the support of the CBR Voluntary staff and the other relevant Officers. The monitory assistance was given for the following livelihood programme.

On the Occasion of handing over this assistance, Rev. Fr. Albert J. Arulraja CMF explained those gathered about the programmes implemented with the assistance of German CARITAS and further the unknown well-wishers from Germany were remembered with sense of gratitude.
